I've been a creative for as long as I can remember. Before YouTube tutorials were a thing, I was making lightsaber videos with friends in After Effects. I was guided solely by a single written tutorial from some guy on the internet, and he actually replied to my noob questions per email. Whoever you are, I owe you a beer.
I thought filmmaking was gonna be my future, but then I picked up the guitar. I got into recording and production soon after, and even went to school for audio engineering. As an independent musician, you quickly figure out that the music is only part of the hustle. You also have to be your own marketing department. A huge part of that is video content. So video editing naturally found its way back to me. Then people started asking me to do it for them.
Fast forward a bit, I spent time doing digital marketing at an e-commerce startup in Amsterdam, where I put those editing skills to good use. Social media, video content, what works and what doesn't. I got a front row seat to all of it. The marketing brain never really switched off after that.
These days I'm freelancing full time in Panama, and genuinely loving every minute of it. Life keeps taking me places. But I'm pretty sure I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be.
